What is Es Alpukat? Es Alpukat is a rich and refreshing Indonesian avocado drink made with ripe avocado, sweetened condensed milk, and chocolate syrup or coffee, served over ice. Creamy, sweet, and smooth, it’s a tropical favorite that doubles as both a dessert and a cooling treat on hot days.

Es Alpukat Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp chocolate syrup (or chocolate condensed milk)
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar (optional)
  • 1tsp sweet basil seed (biji selasih)
  • ½ cup crushed ice or shaved ice
  • ¼ cup cold water or milk (optional, for thinner consistency)

Es Alpukat Preparation:

  1. Slice the avocado in half, remove the seed, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Lightly mash or slice the avocado into thin strips depending on your preferred texture.
  3. In a serving glass, add the crushed or shaved ice.
  4. Add the mashed/sliced avocado over the ice.
  5. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk evenly over the avocado.
  6. Pour chocolate syrup over the top.
  7. Optional: Add a little sugar and cold water or milk if you prefer a sweeter or thinner consistency.
  8. Mix gently or serve layered as is for visual appeal.
