What is Es Teler? Es Teler is a rich and fruity Indonesian dessert that brings together the best of the tropics in one glass. This indulgent treat combines avocado, jackfruit, and coconut meat, all drenched in a sweet mix of coconut milk, condensed milk, and syrup over crushed ice. Often called Indonesia’s original fruit cocktail.

Es Teler Ingredients:

  • 1 cup young coconut meat (fresh or from a can), thinly sliced
  • 1 cup jackfruit, sliced thin
  • 1 ripe avocado, cubed
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1–2 tbsp Cocopandan Syrup (or to taste)
  • 1 cup crushed ice or shaved ice
  • Pandan leaves (optional, for fragrance)

Es Teler Preparation:

  1. In a saucepan, heat the coconut milk with pandan leaves (if using) over medium heat for 5 minutes. Do not boil. Let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the coconut meat, jackfruit, and avocado.
  3. Pour in the cooled coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, and syrup. Mix gently.
  4. Spoon the fruit mixture into serving cups or bowls.
  5. Add crushed ice or shaved ice on top.
  6. Drizzle with extra condensed milk or syrup if desired.
  7. Serve immediately while cold.
  8. Enjoy this tropical, creamy Indonesian dessert!
