Krupuk Ubi Kayu (Cassava Crackers) Recipe

What i Krupuk Ubi Kayu? Krupuk Ubi Kayu are cassava starch cracker that is ubiquitous in Indonesia. These crackers are great with many specialty drinks.

Krupuk Ubi Kayu Ingredients:

  • 1 kg. cassava, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon kapur sirih

Bumbu:

  • 5 shallots
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 lomboks
  • 10 rawits
  • cooking oil

Krupuk Ubi Kayu preparation:

  1. Let the cassava slices half an hour in water with kapur sirih weeks.
  2. Make a paste of spices and cook over low heat until a thick paste. Add vinegar to taste and let it cool.
  3. Dry the drained cassava slices on kitchen paper or a dry cloth. Bake the cassava slices in hot oil half cooked.
  4. Put them next to each other on kitchen paper and make sure they do not stick together.
  5. Fry them until they are once more crisp in hot oil. Place the chips on paper towels.
  6. Let cool and mix them through the cold herbal paste. Want the crackers less hot, then let the rawits way.
