Rendang, a spicy meat dish, originated from the Minangkabau ethnic group from Indonesia who traditionally prepare this dish during occasions such as ceremonies, weddings, and Hari Raya. In addition to the meat, Rendang’s ingredients include coconut milk and a paste of ground spices. Our best selling Rendang spices are by Bamboe and Indofood.

This meat dish is dark in color and is dry. It is a main course and can use various types of meats such as beef, lamb, goat, duck, chicken and more. The ingredients of the mix ground spice includes ginger, chili, galangal, lemongrass, turmeric, garlic, and shallot. Traditional Rendang’s cooking process changes from boiling to frying and takes hours to cook. This slow cooking process makes the meat become tender as the meat absorbs all the spices.
